| Born on April 16, 1927, in Kedah, Tan Sri Hanafiah Hussain recived his early education in Sultan Abdul Hamid College, Alor Setar. Upon receiving an accountancy scholarship in 1948, he furthered his studies at Victoria University, Manchester, where he obtained his degree in commerce. |
