Rawang 11 Nov: Perodua has come to the aid of flood victims in Perlis and Kedah by donating RM10,000 each to the respective authorities in both states to channel to the victims.

Perodua Managing Director Datuk Aminar Rashid Salleh said apart from the cash aid to victims, the company is also giving cash aid to its Jitra branch and dealers staff affected by the floods.

“Two of our dealers and one branch were affected by the floods and we are still assessing the damage to our outlets caused by the flood,” he said.

“Our Jitra branch staff who were affected received RM500 to RM1,000 each. We are also giving RM5,000 to each dealer Mashur Bistari Sdn Bhd in Jitra and Laytac Auto Sdn Bhd in Kangar for distribution to their staff affected by the floods recently,” he added.

In addition to the cash aid, Perodua is offering 25% off the total repair bill to Perodua owners whose vehicles were damaged by the floods. These include parts and labour charges.

The company is also offering free towing service up to a maximum of RM100 to the nearest Perodua service outlets.

“This offer is to lighten the burden of Perodua vehicle owners already hit by the floods,” Aminar said.
