Perodua opens its most disabled-friendly sales showroom

Kuala Lumpur, 25 June: Perodua opens its “most disabled-friendly” sales showroom to date, featuring ramps for easy wheelchair access as well as disabled friendly wash rooms and prayer room.

The new sales showroom is operated by Perodua’s latest sales dealer Faresh Motor (M) Sdn Bhd.

“The facilities offered here will be the benchmark for all existing Perodua sales showrooms and service outlets nationwide,” Datuk Aminar Rashid Salleh, Perodua Managing Director said at the launch here today.

According to Ahmad Faresh Ahmad Zahid, Managing Director of Faresh Motor (M) Sdn Bhd, - who himself is disabled - the showroom was built for the convenience of disabled people.

"Generally, the disabled who wish to purchase a vehicle will be facing difficulties to view the vehicles in the showroom and only prefer to view from outside of the showroom.

"Based on my observation, there are limited facilities for this group and I will try to provide one for them." he said.

"With the opening of our latest dealer, Perodua now has 183 sales outlets throughout the country and we aim to have 192 sales outlets by year end to strengthen our sales network further," Aminar said.

At the function, Perodua also contributes a unit of ALZA to Baitur Rahah Foundation and Group of Company Faresh Motor, Kini Unggul Sdn Bhd contributed RM10, 000 to the Association of the Disabled People Malaysia (POCAM).
