Rawang, 28 August: Perodua in collaboration with the Berita Harian Education Unit are organising a Form 3 Evaluation (PT3) Seminar and this year expanding its educational programme to SMK Seri Garing, a school outside Hulu Selangor area.
“We inviting SMK Seri Garing to join this programme with three selected schools within Hulu Selangor because they are near to our community and we are happy to receive a good response from them.”
“We would like to thank the schools for participating and Berita Harian for their commitment in co-organising this event,” President and CEO of Perodua, YBhg Datuk (Dr) Aminar Rashid Salleh said.
A total of 200 students are attending this seminar, which is also part of Perodua’s Corporate Responsibility programme to empower youth through education.
Students involved are from SMK Sungai Buaya, SMK Gedangsa, SMK Dato Haji Kamaruddin (Hulu Selangor), SMK Seri Garing and Perodua staff’s children who are sitting for the exam this year.
"Perodua hopes this seminar will be able to provide proper guidance and will prepare students to sit for the Form 3 Assessment Exam, which will take place in October." Aminar said
This is the fourth year Perodua has organised such a seminar for students facing the PT3 examinations. The seminar cover subjects like English, Bahasa Malaysia, Science and Mathematics by experienced speakers.
A total of 840 children have attended the PT3 seminar since the first joint Perodua/Berita Harian programme, which began in 2013.
Perodua has also other youth and education programmes including the Perodua Youth Training Programme (PYTP) which invites SPM leavers who are keen on vocational training.
Those who complete the PYTP programme will receive a Majlis Latihan Vokasional Kebangsaan Second Level (MLVK Tahap 2) certification programme which is accredited by the Department of Skill Development Malaysia.
