Rawang, 23 Sept: Perodua in collaboration with Berita Harian Education Unit organised a seminar, ‘Seminar SPM 2016’ to help 220 students including Perodua staff’s children in their examination which took place in November this year.
This programme is part of Perodua’s Corporate Responsibility that focus on empowering youth through education.
"With proper guidance from experience speakers from Berita Harian, we hope that the students could use this opportunity to give their very best in their examination and after that to pursue their studies to a higher level.” President & CEO, Datuk Aminar Rashid Salleh said.
This 2-days programme which was held in Perodua Head Quarters, Rawang involved students from SMK Bandar Baru Batang Kali, SMK Kuala Kubu Bharu, SMK Syed Mashor, SMK Rawang and also the Perodua staff’s children.
A total of 880 children have attended the SPM seminar since the first joint Perodua- Berita Harian programme, which began in 2013.
These programmes are focuses on 4 subjects which are Bahasa Melayu, English, Maths and History.
In August this year, Perodua also organized a seminar, ‘Seminar PT3’ for Form 3 students with a total of 200 participants.
The seminar was officiated by Yang Berhormat Dato' P. Kamalanathan, Deputy Minister, Ministry of Education and were also attended by Encik Zaini Kamaruzzaman, Executive Editor Berita Harian; Pn Fadzlena Jafar, Editor of Education BH; Puan Mariam Ibrahim, Senior General Manager Perodua Human Capital Division; Cik Elina Baseri, General Manager of Perodua Strategic Communications Division and Pn Sulasi Hj Mahadi, Perodua Head of Corporate Communications.
