Rawang, 23 Feb: Calling all graduate job-seekers! Perodua is offering a chance at employment within its organisation this weekend at the Skim Latihan 1Malaysia (SL1M) Open Interview Programme for the central region, organised by the Prime Minister’s Department.

Perodua will also be giving away a new Myvi 1.3 as the top lucky draw prize at the event, which will be held at the Malaysian Agro Exposition Park Serdang (MAEPS) from 24-25 February, 7.30 am to 5.30 pm. The event will be officiated by Malaysian Prime Minister Yang Amat Berhormat Dato’ Seri Najib Tun Razak.

First launched in 2011, SL1M is a training programme aimed at helping young graduates who are still unemployed to enhance their marketability with appropriate skills, knowledge and work experiences.

“Perodua is supportive of this programme as we want to do our part in producing graduates who are more skilled, knowledgeable and prepared for the working world. This will collectively benefit Perodua, the automotive industry and the nation,” said Perodua President and Chief Executive Officer Datuk (Dr) Aminar Rashid Salleh.

SL1M trainees undergo soft-skills and on-the-job training with participating companies for a maximum of 12 months, developing their communication skills, creative and analytical thinking, professionalism, self-motivation and discipline, proficiency in English and more.

“Perodua has established a strong reputation for producing fuel-efficient, dependable and affordable cars of high quality for all Malaysians. We have sold over 3.2 million vehicles since our inception in 1993.
